It does seem that the number of delays has gone up over the past few years. Just because they take longer doesn't mean they will do it right. What I have seen more often is games being delayed by huge amounts, and then still releasing broken and unfinished anyway. People always say they want the devs to take their time and release the game in a good state. Yes there has been no new delay since the last one but it has already been delayed twice by at least 2 years. Honestly I hope they give the devs all the time they need to finish the game, I have had enough of broken games rushed to release. Right now they're adding new things that weren't planned with the original release, one of the recent show and tell was a model for a new nuclear engine that is still in early modeling. The first delay was for the change in studio, that happened, among other things, because Start Theory was asking for more time and the game was far from finished. Since when they announced that the game was slipping in 2022 there has been no new delay. The pandemic excuse might justify the push back from 2021 to 2022, but if the game had released on-time COVID would have been irrelevant. It's been over 2 years since the game was announced, and we were actually originally supposed to get it before lockdowns had even started. However, the release date was then pushed back to late 2021, and then at the end of 2020 it was pushed back again to "sometime in 2022". The game was originally announced around this time in 2019 with a release date in early 2020.
